DIGITALK, the independent leading developer of innovative intelligent voice switching platforms is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Rome, Italy. This has been as a direct result of an increasing need to service its Italian customers more locally, with highly experienced account management and support staff and because of a number of recent customer successes in the region. DIGITALK has recognised that it needs to increase support for its growing customer base as it continues to expand its business in Southern Europe.
The recently appointed Regional Manager for Southern Europe, Giovanni Tesauro, an Italian national, brings a wealth of experience into DIGITALK, gained from over 20 years living and working in Italy, and Europe. Mr Tesauro spent his early career in engineering roles and was an R&D manager at Italtel, before moving to Alcatel to become the Italian representative for Next Generation networks, based in Brussels, Belgium.
DIGITALK’s Sales and Marketing Director, Mr Mark Ashdown, adds that
“Having Giovanni join the team is a huge step forward for DIGITALK in the region, and his experience of working with service providers of all sizes in Southern Europe will enable DIGITALK to take the next step in its development”.
Since then, Mr Tesauro has worked within various areas of the Telecommunications industry including as a senior product manager for Ericsson Mobile and as a country Manager for Bosch Telecom, with responsibility for public networks, and as the leader of the product management team. Immediately prior to joining DIGITALK, Mr Tesauro held senior positions in the alternate service provider LTS as the Marketing and Sales Director, and as the Chief Marketing Officer for Tecnosistemi.
DIGITALK’s customers include large fixed network, mobile, and radio network operators, as well as new carriers, Internet Service Providers and Application Service Providers.
