As VoIP becomes an integral part of the domestic broadband mix, reliability, security and scalability start to become essential issues for any service provider looking to protect and grow their brand’s reputation. As a result, many of the early open-source VoIP platforms that service providers used to first launch their services are now failing to deliver either technologically and commercially. Without an appropriate VoIP platform that has been specifically designed to deal with the challenges of a fast maturing and highly competitive marketplace, the many strategic cost, performance and customer loyalty benefits of VoIP and rich communications services will fail to be realised.
